I designed a world where everyone wears contact lenses that allow them to see holographic creatures as if they are real, walking around the world. This dragon-like creature is one such hologram. He was based on the movements of a rat and the body of a lizard. His strange, glass-like tail erupts into fibre-optic cables at it's end, matching his head tendrils. A subtle neon glow and glitches can be seen when looking carefully, but it is easy to mistake him for a real creature.

This began as a virtual plein air study, but after visiting Ibiza I felt inspired to add in elements that I had seen there. I love sitting in the small pools of water that emerge behind mounds of sand while watching the boats sail by. PhotoShop and Manga Studio, roughly 6 hours.

This is Gyzra, the central character to my manga trilogy, The Chronicles of Gyzra. He controls a black rain that transforms animals into ferocious creatures. Here we can see the crystal forest and mountains, New Eden in the background and The Spire in an abandoned city in the foreground.

Commissioned piece. The client requested me to illustrate a spaghetti bolognese recipe. The final piece would become a wall hanging in their black and white kitchen. Drawn entirely from imagination with minimal references. Manga Studio, worked on over the course of several months. A1 size.

I wanted to create a non-threatening character that would be agile and beautiful, but also moderately dressed with some armour to protect her in the deep forest. Her cape acts as a white tail, raising when she runs to alert those around her that there is danger. Her ears can move freely to listen out for predators and when in danger she can protect herself with her leather and metal armour, horns and trusty staff. The staff features a small bag for food and a bear tooth necklace, historically a symbol of protection.

Commissioned piece. The client provided a Japanese painting that they felt inspired by and asked me to create an album cover based on this design. I captured the mood of the reference using the powerful yet beautiful colour scheme and an anime inspired shading style. Manga Studio.

Commissioned piece. The client requested themselves and their Pokemon team relaxing in the sun. Paying close attention to atmospheric dissonance I replicated the semi-realistic backgrounds with anime characters the the current version of the show does so well.

Commissioned piece. The client requested an album cover inspired by a dragon and dinosaur fighting on the brink of extinction. Each scale was drawn individually with painstaking accuracy to ensure the client was happy with the final result. Manga Studio.

Part of my Final Fantasy inspired series. One of the most notable video game series' to inspire me has been Final Fantasy and so I began a series encompassing everything in each game that I felt a fan would hold nostalgia and love for to this day. This is Final Fantasy 9. PhotoShop.
